- Microbiota alterations (incl. Candida), inflammation and leaky gut (α1-antitrypsin, calprotectin, zonulin), minerals (Zn, Se), oxidative stress.
- How it is carried out
- Stool + blood (serum).
- Why it matters
- Acne often has its roots in the gut and in systemic inflammation: identifying the cause allows targeted treatment instead of addressing the symptoms alone.
- How to prepare
- No antibiotics in the previous 4 weeks. For minors: parental consent.

- Atopic skin often reflects dysbiosis and inflammation in the gut: working on the gut and on intolerances improves the skin.
- How to prepare
- Stop antihistamines 48 h beforehand, if clinically possible. No antibiotics in the previous 4 weeks.
