Orthopaedics and traumatology for every age, from childhood to adulthood.
Two specialists look after the musculoskeletal system at every stage of life: paediatric orthopaedics follows the growth of children and teenagers, adult orthopaedics treats joints, injuries and degenerative conditions. Consultation, diagnostics and treatment plan in the same Centre.
Bones, joints and growth in a single pathway
During the orthopaedic consultation the specialist takes a full history, examines posture, gait and joint mobility and, where needed, requests imaging. X-ray and ultrasound are available on site, so the clinical picture is completed quickly.
For children and adolescents the consultation focuses on development: hips, feet, knees, spine and limb symmetry, with attention to the signs that are best recognised early. For adults it centres on joint pain, sports injuries, osteoarthritis and recovery after trauma.
Every pathway is discussed with the patient, or with the family, considering conservative and injection options first and surgical ones when they are indicated.
