We prefer to tell you in advance what these tests can do and what they cannot do. It is the starting point for making the result genuinely useful to you.
They do not replace a medical consultation
Tests are a tool in the doctor's hands. A value outside the reference range is not a diagnosis, and a normal value does not rule out disease.
Private services
These services are not covered by LAMal, the Swiss basic health insurance scheme. Payment is the patient's responsibility. Some supplementary insurance policies (LCA) reimburse prevention and complementary medicine in full or in part: check with your insurer before starting. We issue an itemised invoice that can be used to claim reimbursement.
What the price includes
The price shown for each package covers the laboratory analysis only. Blood draw, consultation and the results consultation are charged separately.
Genetic tests
In Switzerland, genetic testing in a medical setting is governed by the HGTA (the Swiss Federal Act on Human Genetic Testing). Tests are prescribed by a doctor and require your written consent. You have the right not to know, and you may withdraw your consent at any time. For predictive tests, dedicated genetic counselling is provided both before and after the test.
Your data
Samples are analysed by a specialist accredited laboratory based in Germany. Transfer takes place only with your explicit consent, in compliance with the Swiss data protection act (revFADP) and the European regulation (GDPR).
MCS codes
Every service has a Medical Center Sorengo code. Cite it for quotations, bookings and invoices: it uniquely identifies the package you have chosen.
Private diagnostic services, not covered by compulsory Swiss basic health insurance (LAMal). Prices in CHF are indicative and subject to clinical assessment; the price shown refers to the laboratory analysis only. Tests do not replace a medical consultation and do not in themselves constitute a diagnosis. Genetic tests are subject to the Swiss Federal Act on Human Genetic Testing (HGTA) and require a medical prescription and written consent. MCS codes are Medical Center Sorengo references.
